Paint-a-Picket Party and Community Farm Open House

Help us make our fence along Madison Ave an artful masterpiece! Join Urban Roots for our FIRST Paint-a-Picket Party, held during our Community Open House! There will be food, music, and good vibes. 

Paints and brushes will be provided. We ask for a $5 suggested donation per picket painted. Family special of $15 for FOUR pickets painted.

Come when you can and stay as long as you are able! There's a seat at our table for everyone. 

The Community Market will be open as well, so bring some grocery bags and get a local and organic produce haul! Half off to our Madison neighbors!

Community Market Grand Re-Opening Celebration

We are SO excited to make the Urban Roots Community Market a space to make local produce and bulk food items available at LOW prices for our neighbors.

Join us for our GRAND OPENING for a first look at what we'll have at the market. We'll have formal remarks and ribbon cutting at 12:30 and farm fresh snacks for your enjoyment.

We are incredibly grateful for the support from Spectrum Health Healthier Communities and Amway that made the Urban Roots Community Market remodel a possibility.

The market is currently open on Wednesdays from 12pm-7pm. After September 6th, our hours will be Tuesday-Thursday from 12pm-7pm.

We at Urban Roots believe in the value of placemaking in great urban outdoors! That's why we are teaming up with Outside Coffee + Woosah to bring you this amazing event to promote some of the best outside spaces this city has to offer.

Come hang out with us at Outside Coffee Co's outdoor garden to hear about our programs and some of the amazing ways to spend time in the sun this summer. 

They will be donating 20% of sales to our Community Market during this time, so grab a coffee and shop around, knowing that your dollars will be going toward providing high quality, local produce at VERY affordable prices to our neighbors.

Come ready to make a delectable and fresh salad using a variety of Silk, So Delicious Dairy Free, Vega, and Earthbound Farm products.

Urban Roots believes in the power of plant based cooking! From July 8th-July 15th, try plant based cooking at home and support our programs at the same time! 

Through their partnership with Meijer, brands Silk, So Delicious Dairy Free, Vega, and Earthbound Farm will be donating 1% of total sales (up to $5000) to Urban Roots Mobile Classroom, our program that supports community gardens throughout West Michigan.

Supperclub

Supperclub is a communal and intentional dining experience, held outdoors at the beautiful Urban Roots Community Farm, Market, and Education center located at 1316 Madison Ave SE.

Chef Patrick Conrade of The Sovengard will be crafting a multi-course farm to table meal (using produce grown on our community farm + other local growers). Complimentary local beer from Brewery Vivant & wine from Cascade Winery will be provided (for adults 21+), and there will be live music by local artist Mark Lavengood to complete this unique dining experience. 

Tickets to Supperclub are $70/person and can be purchased here. Seating is limited so reserve your spot at the table today!
